New grass for croquet

23 Feb, 2010 10:08 AM
FRANKSTON Croquet Club will convert two of its winter grass croquet lawns to drought-tolerant warm season grasses.

The work will be paid for with $26,000 from the State Government's drought relief for community sport and recreation program, $16,000 from Frankston Council and $7000 from the club.

The change will allow the club to extend use of the greens for twilight competitions and social croquet.

Planned works include two water tanks to be connected to an existing bore.
