FRANKSTON Athletics Club's juniors put in an outstanding performance at the Athletics Victoria Shield final on Saturday.
With only 10 athletes competing on each team it was always going to be a tall order to win the competition.
In the under-16 team, Elizabeth Clarke finished seventh overall in a time of 27.13 sec with Lucy Romanoff, Ella Taylor and Alycia Maher also putting in strong efforts.
Elly Jackson won the women's under-16 3000 metres in a time of 10 minutes 15.7 seconds. Megan Heap finished second in the triple jump after winning her high jump event.
In the throws Rachel Mulder was second while Maher finished fourth. Jasmine Carroll cleaned up in the hammer with a throw of 32.53 seconds.
In the women's under-14 team, Brianna O'Donoghue and Alexia Loizou finished eighth and ninth in the 200 metre sprint.
Kayla Ripari finished second in the 200 metre hurdle with a time of 32.51 sec and Jordyn McConchie finished the season with a win in the triple jump.
In the 400 metre relay the team finished fourth.
Frankston pair Luke Cann and Ben Khongbut competed in the Perth Track Classic. Khongbut came in second in the 110-metre hurdles and Cann finished fourth in the javelin with a throw of 72.50 metres.
