Seaford grass fire

21 Feb, 2012 03:00 AM
Police believe accelerant was used to light a grass fire in Bardia Avenue, Seaford, on February 5.

At 12.30am a fire was lit on a small amount of rubbish in a grassy area of the avenue.

When CFA members arrived, they saw a white Suzuki Swift pull out from a nearby side street. Police are unsure if the vehicle was involved in the crime but would like to speak to the occupants.

A witness also reported seeing a male riding away on a pushbike. The cyclist is in his mid-20s and 190 centimetres with brown curly hair and wore a hoodie.

Information about the fire can be phoned to Detective Senior Constable Mark Garrett, 9784 5590 or Crime Stoppers, 1800 333 000.
