Robinsons Road bridge ready to go

31 Jan, 2012 03:00 AM
CHANTELLE and Jacinta of Bayside Christian College teamed up with parliamentary secretary for transport Edward O'Donohue and Frankston MP Geoff Shaw last week to celebrate the opening of the Robinsons Road bridge over Peninsula Link in Frankston South.

Mr Shaw said it would mean drivers, cyclists, pedestrians and school children would be safer.

"In addition to providing a faster, more direct route for motorists, new traffic signals installed will provide a safe crossing for Bayside Christian College students, walkers and cyclists taking advantage of the new Peninsula Link trail."

Geoff Shaw is 100 per cent correct. This Labor initiative will be most beneficial. Too bad he is here taking credit for it.

In 2010 the now Frankston MP Geoff Shaw picketed against construction of the Peninsula Link Freeway at Robinsons Road. Now he is photographed at the same place seeking credit for its construction. This reeks of hypocrisy.
