Having fun while working

07 Feb, 2012 03:00 AM
To say that the guys in Manpower Australia are muscle-bound hunks is an understatement.

But the exotic dancers are also down-to-earth blokes who love their work - and love taking the mickey out of each other.

The Manpower men, who live in Las Vegas seven months of the year, are delighted to be back home until the end of March to promote their Thunder From Down Under tour.

Manager and dancer Adam Hughes has been in the business since 1995 when he was discovered at a gym.

The former PE teacher says it's the best job he's ever had. "We all have so much fun and are great mates, and we're just normal guys. You have to work out every day, and do weights and cardio before each show," Hughes said.

"We have women coming along from ages 18 to 80 and it's a two hour, fully-choreographed show with costumes, dancing and music."

Manpower is performing at the Somerville Hotel tomorrow. Details: 5977 5241 or visit somervillehotel.com.au.
