Fine over illegal works

07 Feb, 2012 03:00 AM
A Frankston South home owner has been fined $8100 after being convicted in Frankston Magistrates Court of undertaking building works without a permit.

The Building Act requires owners of buildings and land to obtain a building permit.

The property owner, who made roof alterations, added an extension and began work on a large outbuilding without a permit, may now have to demolish the illegal works.

For further information about building permits, call 9784 1900.
